I spent this time blog hopping and found this nice big circle with mine linked to A linked to B liked to C linked to D linked to E linked to F linked to G linked to H linked to me. Very long. Finally settled down to read nat's blog because i haven't been going to see it for months already. Well, as expected i woke up in the afternoon.

10:50 AM
Hahahahaha... yesterday was the sleepover after all!

We were supposed to go to their house at 9 but mom was nagging and nagging and yakityyak so we had so clean up the entire house before we left. Obviously, we got there late.

When we got to the house shu hui prepared the mattresses which she and my sis were going to sleep on because the last time they had the bed. Yihui took out the monopoly board and we played til all the land was owned. I had... 14 properties and $7443 in the end.... hahahaha..... i am rich!!!! or was. and it isn't real money, cheh!

Yihui and i went out to the living room to watch chicken run. It was almost painsul to watch those chickens smashing up into the walls and in and out of the pie machine. "i don't wanna bea pie!!!"

After that we tucked ourselves into bed and started talking on and on and on. I left my retainers at home so i didn't have to put up with two thingies in my mouth. By and by we fell silent and yihui was smsing mel so i tried to sleep.

This morning i woke up at like almost 10 and groggily packed up and got ready to go home because my mom called. Then when had freshened up, my mom swung by and passed me to house keys and told me i could stay a little longer. Bad timing!

I went home anyway and had pie for breakfast. I am still eating it

I spent the last one hour or so watching the first part of the trial of OJ Simpson and it is very diiiirrrrty. The whole thing was just a bunch of muddled up people running around going off track and on track and off again every once in a while. Since when did it become a racial issue? Ack... this detective's claims are counted as not reliable because he recently said the word nigger and he swore he didn't. Uh... how can such things be compared to other stuff on the trial? Gah... awaiting the second installment

As with every holiday shuhui and yihui are coming for a sleepover or my sis and i going. Haven't decided the date yet though, either tonight or tomorrow night. pretty late to decide now huh... maybe i'll call them and have it today. Monopoly and gossip once again...

Today aunty lay kim took joel jeremy victor yihui mel and i to eat kaya toast. We skipped looking after the primary school kids (which makes me feel profoundly guilty) and walked over to eat. I had a coffee as well ad we just sat there and talked and talked and talked. Mom gave a call to tell me that i was late and i ran all the way in the rain back to church. turns out it was for naught because mom was happily chatting to mel's mom. victor had 9 pieces of toast by the time i left.

i have used the bold effect for once... pretty good

I am turning nocturnal. Slept last night at 4 because i was trying to read the tale of two cities. it was, okay fine, is incredibly boring and so bland at the start which was where i stopped anyway.

Mom woke me up today claiming that it was 1pm. It was NOT. It was only 11am, which meant that i had only had 7 hours of sleep, which is crazy on the holidays. Bleah... she hurried me to get changed and go out for lunch

Okay, i will get to the title

Shuhui sis and i went to jelita to buy some ingredients for the crème brûlée and i got a bottle of apple juice to drink while we cooked. Here's how we (3 of us) made the nice dessert:

First, get a drink. then get a quart or thereabout of thick cream and 3/4cups of sugar. Put them into a saucepan and boil together with 2 teaspoon of vanilla and keep stirring over a medium flame and pray it doesn't burn

Get the yokes of 9 eggs. The whites can be used for facial but i suggest you leave them for other dishes. Uh... sis cracked the egg over shuhuis hand so the yoke is left behind. pretty messy but reliable. Beat the eggyokes

Add the two mixtures together and put into one BIG dish and steam for like 25 minutes

Put into the fridge anywhere from 1hr to 24 hrs depending on how you want it to turn out or how long you can resist the temptation to rush for a sample

Put sugar over the top and glaze it with a torch to melt thee sugar.

Pour lots and lots and lots of chocolate syrup in a ramekin (cuplike thing) and scoop a nice helping on top.

Eat

Todays informal gathering was so fun!!!

I woke up at 11 to Ken's crazy SMS that he was already at the station, more than 2 hours early. Puntuality is a virtue, but this??? He was nuts. Anyway, since it was pretty late i washed up and changed and left the house.

When i reached the station, only Roy was there. He came up to me and slapped me on the shoulder and i nearly died of fright. He has grown. I have not. It's not very funny to see a TALL familiar looking stranger slapping your shoulder. Well, anyway, the rest came in dribs and drabs and ken and bryan were late. By 20 minutes i might add

They came with a friend called jono and after a bit of intros we walked to his house. It was in the middle of a whole lot of other houses so we just kept walking on and on and on. Bryan and jono had this wierd idea that taking the long way was fun so by the time we got there we were all worn out. It was nuts.

We spent the whole time there playing on the gamecube and eating stuff. Bryan's brother came to join us and the girls just obsessed over him taking so many pictures. It would be a fun thing to see if he were camera shy =)

The group of them went home first (very early) so there were only four left in the room. Jono (who has got three sets of identical grey shirts) ken (who has grown much taller as well) Bryan (he is the host after all) and I. we fooled around abit with the characters until it was time to go.

Jono's father was supposed to bring us to the clementi station but somehow he was very late so the guys had dinner first while i called my mom. Chatted a little over the food and watched PCK. It was so hillarious. In the end i walked back to the station with ken and jono. And reached home at 9.30. Very late.

10:10 PM
Today is monday! I woke up to find my sis out of the house so I used the computer while she was gone. Ahahaha... Use as much as i can. Foundout later on that she was at the gym catching the flu bug. Anyway, i was going to meet up with a couple of primary school friends

Went to holland V as planned and there were these people asking for donations for goodness knows what. I got waylaid and had to stand still trying not to laugh while they tried to get me to donate. They were unsuccessful. They aren't the flag day kind where you drop whatever coins you had in nice tin boxes and get a nice sticker, but they asked me for $10!!! My dinner money!!!

I hopped into delifrance to buy a mocha and prepared for a long long wait when sam came in. We went to zed and zees to buy lai yee's christmas pressie. I got lai yee a dog and she gave me a cat. i gave sam a cat and she gave me a dog. What an exchange

On the way to swensens we got waylaid again. rather, i was waylaid because the other two escaped and i was very irked because they already asked me and i had already said no and i needed the money for dinner and they STILL wanted donations AND blocked my way so i couldn't walk SO i said 'don't want! lets me go!' And they STILL did not want to let me go so I ran. Maybe i stepped on one of their foots in the process because none came running for donations again. Probably went home to get a band aid

Dinner was good. We had omelette, chips, pizza and ice cream totalling about $50 for the three of us. Everything was good, but the ice cream was the best. we ordered this HUGE bowl of ice cream and there were: mocha almond fuge, lime sherbet, vanilla, chocolate (three helpings!), coffee and i can't remember what. I had the mocha almond fudge of course, so addictive!

Did a bit of shopping after dinner and came home before eight. Proness

Whee! I had my piano lesson today unline other weeks because Mr Quek wanted me to try out the pieces on the grand piano. SO, i woke up early to catch the bus with my sis and went all the way from pine grove to peace centre. my sis was nyeh nyehing and gablahing about how i was going the wrong way when CLEARLY i had gotten it right. she followed me of course and we reached his house soon enough. i should have let her go off on her own... so fun for her to get lost. would teach her that i have actually been there afew times already.

When we reached there i was more than an hour early so i started practising on the grand piano first. mr queks other student unfortunately had to use the atlantis which was not as wierd, but also not as cool. Sis and I settled for a game of chess on his marble chess set. some people are soooo rich. Since sis learnt how to play yesterday while i am a chess idiot, she had to guide me throughout.

Mr quek finished teaching the other student in the middle of our game so we had to stop. sis went on to read the pile of magazines while i banged away and complained that the piece was too hard. actually, it wasn't, it just made my hands sore. Fur elise today.

Once the practical part was done we went on to talk about the composers again. Today was um, schumann. Since my sis was present we talked again about the baroque period and freaked my sis out with the powder and bathing stuff. Mr quek played some pieces on the CD player tfor us to listen. in the end, the lesson ended 20mins later. He let us continue playing with his chess set until, i'm glad to say, i won my sister. Maybe it's from playing chinese chess. Anyway, my sis lost her first game of chess and i won my first game of chess. it has put a very smug smile on my face.

We left the house to find my mom waiting for us in the car so we immediately hopped in and got ready to go. Mom still has a sore throat. Sis got to choose the place for lunch this round and well, it was NYDC.

Hmmm... i had a baked hawaian pasta with an irish cream mudpie. Superb. Sis planned to shop, but since i wasn't going to do anything remotely near that, she decided to abandon the idea and come home with my mom and i. Whee. such fun.

Just finished watching the air up there, starring kavin bacon who also did the river wild and murder in the first. good actor, good shows.

This ends my super long post, gnite!

Sis is taking her chem paper today, which so happens to be her last paper. Happy for her, maybe not for me. She'd be using the new computer more often. =( Less time to play. Mom took us out for lunch at delifrance (again) before dropping my sis at school. Do i have anything else to blog? I think not. Will go to the gym later

10:01 PM
As the tittle says, my mom took us to jurong west. Going out alot this holidays, almost everyday. Well, we ate at the Crystal Jade there which served only the xiao long pao. It was nice i guess, only i was stuffed by the time i finished my portion. my mom had a sore throat so i had to eat some of her noodles too. -_-. I am going to grow FAT soon.

After lunch my sis dragged my to go shopping. She walked all over the place, trying on everything and not buying a single item. Such fun. A complete waste of energy. Went home at 2 plus because mom had to teach.

The holidays are getting boring, always my mom taking me and sis out and coming home o do nothing.

A very wierd name to give to this post but yea, my sister is travelling to Australia at the end of the year, so she needed to go to a money changer. And, as my mom was not free, the task of accompanying her went to me of course. Worse still, we had to use the overhead bridge 3 times. 3!!! I hate overhead bridges! We could have gone to the bank in clementi and not have to use the bridge once but no, she had to go to holland village. Freak. She took out so much money i felt like robbing her.

Once we were done crossing the bridge the final time we headed for lucky plaza and went around asking for the best prices. I swear there was at least 20 money changers and it's not easy to remember which one has got the best price. Didn't help when my sis couldn't spot any when they hung out HUGE signs. The best price was 1.277 but my sis refused that so we had to go to a 1.28. Waste of money.

We bought a drink at Macs and my sister played with this cute toddler an we went home

9:02 PM
today i woke up late. as usual, because i slept late last night, as usual. well, mom made some noodles for lunch (yes i woke up THAT late) while i day dreamed a little on the couch. the weather was too hot to get anything done.

when i finally got my lazy ass off the couch, i helped myself to the noodles which were hard. really hard. harder than my sister's favourite fibre-packed pasta. too politte to spit and helpless to prepare my own food, i finished the whole bowl upon the 'request' of my mom

sis went for her history and mom went out to do a little grocery shopping and i decided to clean up the place abit and surf the net. not much done.

when sis and mom came home my sis dragged me to the gym to work off lunch and whatever snacks i have helped myself to. Burned off lots of calories today! Here's what i learnt.

The bike machine: It's evil. don't ever use it unless you don't feel like running. It's fine until you step off and your legs will feel woozey. it is very time consuming because you don't support your weight so less work.

The treadmill: wonderful for keeping fit and burning calories if i didn't hate running so much. training for 2.4 can only be done... here

The step and step and fall machine: i'm pretty sure this is not the right name but who cares. the name itself already explains its nature. very very VERY tiring

no more for now

Okay. This is crazy.

Well, today I went to pragon with mom and sis again for lunch. Is there ever anyting else to do? We ate at delifrance and went shopping again. And we came back home tired out again.

Sis and I spent the night watching TV (gone in 60 secs which i have watched countless times before) and finishing up with the making of the truffles. The first batch tasted horrendously BITTER!!! The second was better because, well, there was more sugar. Ate so much choclate, am going to grow fat

9:23 PM
Yikes... today is a nice day! I went to church as usual and guess what? mel and yihui weren't there! So i sat with the guys instead. Apparently only a handful of people came and even less did their sunday school homework so we read from the bible and listened to a tape. Only gavin was there in the primary school section (i was there too but had to leave early) so Uncle Sin Eng took over. Whee!

Mom took sis and I to Unvle Rawi's house and we saw his WHOLE family there. It was a big family too. There was this kid, probably 6 yrs old who gave me a sly wink when i waved to him. He is so adorable!!! Uncle Rawi entertained my mom while my sis and i helped ourselves to the food. It was nice. Very very very nice. He even packed alot of food for us to take home

When we came home sis dragged me to cold storage to buy ingredients for the chocolate truffles she was making. We watched TV and prepared the mixture. Can't wait t eat!

11:11 PM
Okay, today is a most exhausting day indeed. I woke up earlier than my sis and had fried rice for lunch. Spent some time online with Lai Yee and then my mom left the house.

Sis and I went out to Holland V. to do some shopping. Found this really really cute frame at lims. Sis bought this energy gel (for her running) and it tasted HORRIBLE. Apparently it's whitist and gooey and tastes like antibiotics for kids.

Then, we headed for the gym. Ach, spent 15 mins on the bike machine and gave up when my pulse hit 180. Tried the walky thingy but i kept losing my balance. By the time i got to the treadmill i was tired out so i slow jogged for 10 mins. There was this lady doing yoga and i just watched her while my sister ran her energy out. She helped my sis do some headstand, but my sis kept ahhing. Wonder if she broke any bones.

After that we headed to the pool for a swim and did... 10 laps. Gah. Tired

That's all folks, tis too tiring to type even

11:51 AM
I knew it. Somehow, sometime, i would have so little to talk about i will actually write this in. *Ducks from a flying pillow*. Okay, i will go through some peple from primary school (who i actually bothered to stay in contact with. don't ask me why, i was glad to go)

LY - First on my list here and first on my list of links. Need I say more? Okay, hmm... she is tall, tan, slim, svelte and extremely pretty. Short hair, expressive brown eyes, and shares the same mole as me on the inner arm. Has a cute little doggie called dot who has lots of dots. Whee! Guys don't miss this good catch =)

Sam - Okay, i have not linked her yet. Or does she have a blog? We are not that close, hardly talking til the group outings. Let's see, she's a terrific dancer, has lovely long hair and a very nice smile (which show her teeth which are perfectly straight) Feel free to ask for her number as well =)

YQ - Eh, a close friend and an invaluable source of amusement. So nice to talk to online. Apparently he has lost weight, gained height and so my description would be this : Tall, well built and poseur because of the gelled hair.

Andre - aiyah... didn't talk online for a l0ng l0ng time. Hmmm... a waterpolo player so i presume would be very fit. And very tall too and has extremely good grades.

2:25 PM
My sis just left the house in a huff... she wants me to go running. I don't run. My best time was done in something near a waddle. And, I have just plonked my butt on the computer. And it has just rained so the weather is perfect for curling up on the couch so no, i am not going to run. Some one pass me my old old old book

2:15 PM
Such fun. I woke up today with my sis pounding me with a bolster. Not a very pretty sight. When will I ever get a chance to sleep all I want. Mom left for the market to buy breakfast and I practised the piano for a while before reading an old old old book. Mom didn't come home til much later, so breaky became lunch. It's raining now, and I just did some housework. I have become a houework nut.

10:01 PM
Okay, such fun. Yesterday after I posted my piano teacher came knocking on the door. We only did the three concert pieces which included: sweet bye and bye, turkish march and serenade. Lucky for me, since I didn't practise my jazz or my sonatina. Later that night I watched Lara Croft: Tomb raider and Juruassic Park III (pardon my spelling) and slept at 1.

Today I woke up at 10 plus in the morning! My sis was tickling and pounding and whatnotting just to get me up. A most annoying but amusing way to drift to conciousness. We left the house after I got changed for ORCHARD!!!

Lunch was at the Big O. I had Baby ribs, my mom had Duck and my sis had Sauteed Mushrooms with herbs. There was 2 cups of coffee, 1 glass of sprite, two bowls of pumpkin soup and a third with fries on the tables. balancing between the two was a small plate of chilli sauce.

After lunch, I went to Borders to check out some books. I finished reading the strange incident of the dog and the night time or something like that. My sister contented herself with the book the virgin suicides but she couldn't finish it because it was super boring. I read it halfway too, but got further than she did.

At 4. 23 we left the bookshop and met my mom at the coffeebean. I helped her finish up her sandwich and some of her coffee. Caffine addict. My sis bought a book entittled : I run, therefore I am nuts. Apparently it is a funny books because she keeps reading snips out to me.

We went for a swim at seven and I did about 22 laps and treaded water for a while. Have very little energy to do what's left of the housework.

Note: you can see that my sister is featured in many posts. this is because she is my only sibling and completely not seeing her would be impossible

5:09 PM
I'm into the first day of hols now, all the extra courses have all been attended and I am going to die of boredom soon.

The first of the classes was the add. math course. It was pretty okay I guess, just a whole lot of repetition and wasting alot of time. i mean, 4 one and a half hours long lessons? And worse of all it has to be in the mornings. Teachers are evil.

The next class is more fun of course, some life sciences thingy which we played with DNA and bacteria. The practical was definitely more fun than the theory bit. We had those dentist kind of gloves which left lots of power sticking to your hands when you take them off. The most interesting bit, making glowing bacteria. I made super super glowy ones.

The forum is still going super fast and we have another superposter on. Man, those dudes are gonna catch up faster than i can say supercalifragilisticexpialedocious.

Ack, no more. Piano teacher is on the way
